Description
Background:
The fundamental transcription factor TFIIA stabilizes the DNA binding of TATA box-binding protein (TBP). It also plays a very important role in the activation of fundamental transcription factor TFIID by the function of the transcription regulator factor. The budding yeast TFIIA is composed of two subunits, Toa1p (286aa) and Toa2p (122aa).
Specifications:
Reactivity: S. cerevisiae Toa1 protein.
Immunogen: Recombinant His-tagged Toa1 protein (1-286aa) produced in E. coli
Form: Whole antiserum added with 0.1% sodium azide
Storage: Ship at 4℃, and store at -20℃
Applications:
- Western blotting (1/1,000~1/5,000)
Fig. Detection of endogenous Toa1p by Western blotting
Lane M: Protein size markers (kDa)
Lane1: Extract of budding yeast
The antiserum was used at 1/5,000 dilution
Molecular mass of Toa1 is 32.2 kDa, but it shows apparent size of 45~47 kDa in SDS-PAGE-WB as in other publications.
