ELISA

ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is one of plate-based immunoassay techniques designed for detecting and quantifying substances such as peptides, proteins, antibodies and hormones. ELISAs are usually performed in 96-well plates, where the reactants of the ELISA immobilized to the plate surface. The immobilization makes it easy to wash away nonspecifically bound materials, enabling ELISAs a powerful tool for measuring specific analytes within a crude preparation. An enzyme or other tag is usually used for detection. The most commonly used enzyme labels are horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and alkaline phosphatase (AP). A large selection of substrates is available for performing the ELISA with an HRP or AP conjugate.

AS ONE INTERNATIONAL offers a variety of ELISA kits for studies in diabetic, cancer, neuroscience and other areas.
